Taylor Ward

My passion for athleticism started with competitive dancing growing up. The transformation into a hybrid athlete began when I decided to pursue a career in firefighting. I expect myself to not meet the requirements of the job I expect myself to exceed them. I care about firefighter fitness and helping other firefighters be fit. I am a fitness instructor at the Firefighter Recruit Academy at Utah Valley University. I help with future female firefighter camps to help more women join the fire service. This past year I decided to start competing in hybrid events along with the Firefighter Challenge. I was named Rookie of the Year, fastest female firefighter in Utah, set a female tandem team national record, and placed first in the female tandem team category at nationals. When I’m not at work or the gym I love hiking, fishing, traveling or hanging out with my best friends my sisters.
